Shannon Stewart is the owner and principal of Stewart Consulting. Shannon has over 19 years of professional experience in National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA)/ environmental documentation and public land issues, as well as extensive experience interpreting Federal and state laws, regulations, and policies including the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA).
Shannon is a recognized leader in the field of NEPA and has held senior level positions in both the Federal government (Department of the Interior and Department of Energy) and environmental consulting. Shannon’s practical knowledge of NEPA and agency-specific regulations and guidance, as well as her longstanding relationships inside and outside of government allow her to identify effective strategies that meet client and stakeholder needs resulting in successful project outcomes.
Shannon holds a Professional Certificate in NEPA from the Duke University Environmental Leadership Program. This Certificate is endorsed by The White House Council on Environmental Quality (CEQ).
Shannon serves as an elected Board Member on the National Association of Environmental Professionals where she is Chair of the Education Committee.
